Crystal Clock Oscillator

Harsh Environment Crystal Clock Oscillator with Enhanced Stability

The Model 680, recently announced by CTS Electronics Components as their latest product series, is a rugged HCMOS crystal clock oscillator that is small in size and light weight. This oscillator operates under wide ranges in temperature and harsh environments.

There are many key features that the Model 680 offers for applications that require the performance and reliability that a crystal clock oscillator provides. The hermetically sealed 5x7mm surface mount package provides safety and protection for the component against stringent environmental conditions. The incredible frequency range with which this component operates is 20kHz to 100MHz. The Model 680 operates at a frequency that ranges between 20kHz to 100MHz.

With superior stability (±50 ppm over -55°C to +180°C temperature range), low phase noise (-170 dBc/Hz at noise floor) and ultra-low jitter (<80ƒsec), the Model 680 is especially geared toward applications in military, avionics, engine control, down-hole drilling, geophysical services and industrial process control.

John Fortune, Director of Sales and Marketing for CTS Electronic Components said, “CTS continues to be a leader developing products for many markets including communications, military, and industrial to name a few. The Model 680 is another example of a product designed to meet our customers’ diverse requirements.”
