We would like to highlight one of GEI’s best and most unique products, its high voltage spark transformers.

Wait a minute. Can a spark transformer really be unique? Yes it can!

GEI Inc.’s high voltage spark transformers use a flat-winding method instead of a slot-winding method. While not visible in the attached photograph, flat-winding places a piece of insulation paper between each layer of copper. This method of manufacturing provides a more consistent spark, higher and more reliable voltage, plus longer life. With GEI having the only factory in China that has the equipment and expertise to use the superior flat-winding method for producing transformers, they can be provided at prices that are extremely competitive against slot-winding competitors…especially when sold along with the fact that GEI’s flat-winding method saves money in the long run by requiring less customer service and replacements.
